| DMG supports methylation, methionine metabolism, folate chemistry and is an immune system modulator. For DMG to work biochemically, folic acid intake and levels in the body must be adequate. Kirkman® has included natural folinic acid, a form of folic acid that may be more beneficial than folic acid in some individuals. Folinic acid already has attached four hydrogen atoms and one methyl group, thereby shortcutting the complicated biochemical processes that assist purine and nucletide synthesis, which are so important in cell perception and response. Also included in this formulation is the most active form of vitamin B-12, methylcobalamin, because folinic acid can sometimes mask a vitamin B-12 deficiency.
